The Perch region around Mortagne has many interesting places to visit as well as historic towns and beautiful countryside. There are several impressive chateaux and manoirs within easy reach and major centres such as Chartres, with it's 13th Century gothic cathedral should not be missed. Le Mans and Alencon are not too far away, and even Paris is just over two hours drive from Mortagne.There are many themed tourist routes throughout the area, such as the "Circuit des forets et Abbayes" which you can follow, enabling you to get a real feel for both the history and nature of the Perche.
